PayEye Zone is an application that enables stores, service points and online stores that use the PayEye eye payment technology to communicate effectively with consumers. Thanks to PayEye Zone, companies can share reels, promote their services, products and offer attractive discounts, while presenting their products in a visual way.

The challenge

Creation of mobile applications for Android and iOS based on the provided UX/UI mock-ups and its integration with backend prepared by the client's team.

How we made it happen

After accepting the project, we thoroughly familiarized ourselves with the provided UX/UI mock-ups, focusing on the visual and functional analysis of the application.

Then we created two teams responsible for developing applications for Android and iOS platforms. Each team focused on developing the appropriate application architecture, ensuring optimal performance and adaptation to the specificity of each operating system.

Methodology

In the project, we settled on waterfall methodology, which perfectly matched the agreed scope of work and deadline. Waterfall is based on a sequential approach, ensuring the analysis, planning, testing and implementation of the project in subsequent phases. This allowed us full control over the progress of work ensuring a timely delivery of the products in accordance with required specifications.

Implementation

In accordance with our original arrangements, we provided the client with the full source code of the application after conducting final tests. The client was given the opportunity to independently build the application and carry out the publication process in Google Play and App Store. Our team provided the client with the necessary technical support to facilitate the implementation process and ensure the smooth functioning of the application from the onset.

Main challenges:

Tight project submission deadline
The timely delivery of the application was a key challenge due to the upcoming event where it was to be presented. Our team managed time and resources effectively, ensuring high product quality. Thanks to solid organization, cooperation and commitment, we were able to successfully deliver the application in accordance with the agreed deadline, allowing the client to present at the event.
Simultaneous work on applications for Android and iOS
Simultaneous development of applications for iOS and Android platforms required expertise in both technologies, as well as coordination and a flexible approach. Our team effectively shared responsibilities, ensuring consistency and timely delivery of applications for both platforms.
Customer-supplied API
Our team meticulously analyzed the provided API and adapted our applications to the requirements of the backend, ensuring effective communication between applications and the server. When we encountered any issues, we actively cooperated with the client's team to find solutions and adapt the application to the backend. Despite initial challenges, we managed to integrate the client's backend with our applications, guaranteeing smooth operation, secure data exchange and full functionality for users.
Integration with the Img.ly library
Working with an external library required understanding its documentation and adapting our code. Our team has successfully integrated the Img.ly SDK, providing users with advanced photo and video editing features for publishing promotional materials.
UX/UI modifications during development
While working on the application, the client identified the need to introduce changes to the original mock-ups. Our team reacted flexibly to these changes, analyzing their impact on the architecture and functionality of the application. Thanks to consultations with the client, we introduced modifications during development, adapting to new requirements. As a result, we delivered a final product that met the customer's expectations and took into account the latest requirements.
